The Qualatex Event

Around 450 delegates, distributors, instructors and staff members attended the recent Qualatex Event in Oxfordshire this November, gathering in one very large, remote country house for a few days of balloon immersion with classes, competitions, parties and loads of networking.

The initial focal point was the sculpture competition, with 8 teams entering the large sculpture and 5 in the medium, with the broad subject being “The Future”. The winner of the large sculpture was a team from Russia, led by Tatiana Ismaylova and winner of the medium sculpture was Pascal Grootenfrom Belgium.

Distributors for Pioneer Europe Ltd from across the continent were in attendance for the annual meeting, with presentations on new products and sales strategies.

There followed 3 days of lessons in balloon decorating, business discussions and partying, with top instructors from UK, Europe, Mexico and the USA passing on their skills and knowledge.

Pioneer’s Sales manager, Michelle Comerford was delighted with the success of the event commenting: “I’m really pleased that so many of our valued customers attended, and I’m especially happy that so many participants took and passed their CBA exams. With 29 new CBAs (Certified Balloon Artists), the future of the balloon industry looks increasingly bright.”
