Sales service launched
Exposure marketing services and Baygroup eBay services have recently teamed up to provide managed eBay sales services to party retailers.
The eBay.co.uk marketplace has an average monthly sales volume of over £2 million in fancy dress items alone, with the total party marketplace being much bigger, therefore, it seems that Baygroup want to help party retailers get a slice of this market place by offering a managed eBay sales service.
Baygroup take care of all of the eBay related tasks leaving the retailer to simply ship out the items each day. For those retailers wanting to handle eBay sales in house Baygroup also offer an online training facility to allow people to sell themselves.
Founder of eBay power seller Baygroup, George Kinghorn, commented: “I first got involved in the retailing of party and fancy dress products when Lee Singers was sales and marketing director at Heaton Party. When I analysed the figures further, I was astounded to see that the sale of fancy dress products generated by eBay.co.uk monthly was in excess of £2m. I wanted a part of it, and wanted to tell as many retailers as I could about the opportunity they were missing. It’s simple to set up and we do it very successfully for many businesses. We run everything in the background, the retailer just sends the goods out each day. In the current economic climate, additional revenue streams are vital to the success of businesses, and this is a potentially massive one.”
Lee Singers, managing director of Exposure marketing services, added: “Party retailers can use eBay in whichever way suits them; (by selling) entire product lines, excess stock, or a combination of both. Baygroup will provide all of the necessary expertise to ensure that profitable sales are achieved instantly. With Spring Fair around the corner, the industry is focused and we believe now is a good time to take further steps to help retailers to boost online sales this way.”
