A (party) force to be reckoned with
Amscan UK’S mobile marketing team "The Party Force" is revving up for expansion after a highly successful first year on the road.
The party company has therefore launched a fresh raid on British universities to boost its fleet of graduate recruits.
Amscan decided to dip its toe into Britain’s deepening pool of jobless graduates last summer after hearing that unemployment amongst university leavers was approaching an all-time high with as many as 45 applicants chasing one vacancy at a time.
It worked so well that senior vice-president (international) Mark Ashcroft is now urging other business leaders to follow suit in a bid to reduce the number of jobless graduates.
“The initiative has proved a great success over the first 12 months and we are now looking to take on more Graduates,” said account manager Marc Phillips. “Some of the original recruits have done so well that they are now forging ahead with defined career paths within the company. One is also on a six-month detachment to our Australian office.”
