Ernst Reiter at EBC

Ernst Reiter accepted the position as executive director of the European Balloon Council in February.

Many of you will already know Ernst, who has experience within both the latex and foil balloon markets.

Son of a toy maker, Ernst was born in Nuremberg, and has lived and travelled in many countries, beginning his career at Ohio Arts, a well-known US toy company. He joined the balloon industry nearly 30 years ago, starting up a European subsidiary for CTI. In those very early days, he successfully introduced message foil balloons to the social expression industry.

He was a founder member of NABAS UK and in 1996 he joined Belbal as director of sales. In 2002 he moved to Amscan UK as head of sales EMA and Geschaeftsfuehrer of Amscan Partyartikel Germany.

Ernst retired in 2006 and after his retirement, started his own consulting company, EGR Consulting.                
         
Ernst’s service and experience in the balloon industry and his multi-lingual skills will be a great asset to his new international role.
