Confetti to branch out into Party products

Online retailer Confetti is to expand beyond its core wedding products range as it looks to grow in 2011.

Oldham-based wedding experts Confetti.co.uk has had a promising start to 2011, winning the Wedding Ideas 2011 Award for Best Special Touches, for the second year running.

The company was bought by North West businessman George Buchan in September last year after it went into administration. Having refreshed its online offering and introduced new ranges, Confetti has seen an increase of up to 20 per cent on year on year sales since Christmas.

Mr Buchan commented: “Confetti is a well loved brand and has a fantastic reputation for providing brides with everything they need to plan their wedding. The business has had to change to reflect the current climate but our focus has always been to retain our position as the UK's number one wedding website. In addition to maintaining the services we are recognised for, we are building the brand by developing new opportunities to ensure we are the first choice for the modern bride.”
