Amscan acquisitions

As everyone in the Party industry has known for a while, Amscan has doubled its international business with the acquisition of Riethmuller and Christys.

The process began in September last year and was announced at the beginning of February this year.

The two companies, Riethmuller and UK costume makers Christys, with almost 400 years of combined history, bring to the AHI family of companies an expansion of its vertical business model into the costume and latex balloon categories.

Equally importantly, the acquisition of Riethmuller gives Amscan a significant presence in China and Malaysia.

Party Party spoke to Amscan at Spring Fair and hope to include a special report about these acquisitions in a future issue.
